In September 2024, Bintang proudly celebrates a huge leap forward in our impact investing journey.
We are thrilled to announce that Involve Asia has received its B Corp certification, making them Bintang’s first portfolio company to achieve this prestigious milestone whilst distinguishing themselves as a pioneering affiliate marketing platform company in Asia from an impact perspective!
Details of Involve Asia’s certification score of 84.2 (which exceeds the passing score of 80 points) across the five impact areas of Workers, Community, Customers, Environment and Governance can be found on their B Corp profile. Link.
Through this achievement, Involve Asia joins a prestigious global community which includes renowned companies that combine doing well commercially with doing good such as Patagonia, Unilever, Danone, The Body Shop, and Ben & Jerry's.
As a leading Southeast Asian affiliate marketing platform provider, Involve Asia connects advertisers with publishers including content creators and influencers – and in so doing, they democratise affiliate marketing and enable publishers to earn an income through their platform.
Bintang is proud to have played a role throughout the certification process, via the secondment of our analyst Francis Hong to Involve Asia for a year as well as with the support of Bintang’s representative board member, Ee Rong Song.
Together, both Ee Rong and Francis played key roles in supporting the certification journey: this achievement demonstrates that whilst the B Corp certification process is certainly rigorous, it is still very much achievable for portfolio companies who are committed towards making a change.
